The days of Nokia, Bosch, Sendo, Motorola and RIM domination of the smartphone market are far long gone. The smartphone market is wide open and Chinese brands are a force to reckon with. In no time, Chinese OEMs have risen from nowhere to tussle it out with the world’s most powerful smartphone brands. OALE launched on Jumia Uganda mobile recently offering very affordable devices. The company that was founded in Shenzhen offers very affordable devices, below UGX 500,000. The low price perfectly sits in the company’s slogan of “Making Communication Easy”.
What OALE smartphones are available?
There is a threesome of OALE smartphone series. There is the flagship OALE Apex, the OALE P series, and the OALE X series. See the full list of all OALE smartphones here. The software and hardware on all these devices are not the most recent. However, they are worthy entry-level devices if you would rather skip itel. The team at OALE has done over 10 years of development and shipped about 18 million OALE smartphones globally in the year of 2017. They have their headquarters in Shenzhen but also have a marketing center in Dubai, Nigeria and other parts of the world. As a young brand in the industry, they bet on continuous technological innovation. They have partnered with top suppliers and operators around the world to make sure everyone can access their devices. You can never run out of options when buying a smartphone in 2019. While the likes of Samsung are still in possession of the title of the world’s biggest smartphone maker, Chinese companies have dominated the African continent. OALE’s low-cost not-so-spec-heavy devices won’t be as symbolic as, say, the Huawei P30s and Samsung Galaxy S10s of this world, but they’ll certainly be something. This is especially when you put price consciousness of the market into the equation. What do you think about OALE smartphones? Do you think they can un-sit itel from the king of affordable smartphones? Are they just another Chinese smartphone vendor offering ‘me too’ products? Let us know in comments.
