Design/Display
The standout feature for both smartphones (Note 7 and Note 7 Lite) is the side-mounted fingerprint and face unlock. With a 6.95-inch display, the Note 7 is much larger than its predecessor (Note 6). Its IPS LCD Infinity-O screen offers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels. Furthermore, the device’s display boasts of a 20.5:9 aspect ratio and a 91.5% screen-to-body ratio. Note 7 Lite, on the other hand, comes with a smaller 6.66-inch display. It’s IPS LCD Infinity O screen delivers 720 x 1600 pixels, and it offers a 90.5% screen-to-body ratio.
Camera
Both smartphones come with quad-rear cameras with the following configurations: a 48MP with f/1.79 aperture, a 25mm 2MP macro lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a low light video camera. Note 7 comes with a 16-megapixel front-facing punch-hole camera, while the Note 7 Lite has an 8-megapixel front-facing punch-hole camera.
Storage
Both devices are equipped with an internal storage capacity of 128GB, and a microSD card slot up to 258GB. The RAM sizes are different, though. While the Note 7 is backed by a 6GB RAM, the Note 7 Lite comes with a 4GB RAM.
Battery
Compared to their predecessor with a non-removable 4000mAh Li-Po battery, Note 7 and Note 7 Lite both come with larger batteries — 5000mAh.
Availability and Price
It is still not clear when the Note 7 and Note 7 Lite will be available for purchase, and the price it will sell for. But when it is released, we believe it will sell for a slightly higher price than the Note 6 (which costs $195). We’d keep you updated.
